Owner told me fish was fresh catch of Day in fact it was 3 days old I know this because i called Saturday & was told they had 1 cat fish the same cat fish was there Monday when I finally got there I didn't buy because didn't look fresh what I did buy turned out to be rotten ,meat was soft & part of tail on 2 fish was green I had to freeze it because of stink to keep in same state as when I bought it I took back 2 days later he was angry grabbed fish threw in trash can kept arguing at me in front of 2 girl workers who helped him argue at me I think he put money back on charge card than he threw my credit card across the counter it landed in the floor told me never to come back & tell 25 of my friends the same thing worse experience ever I rate his store a 0

I was told these crabs where #1 jimmy crabs were small with hardly any meat if I lived closer would of took them back I will never buy crabs from there

Awesome customer service. Very professional and homey feeling! I grew up here and the people are very friendly and have that family vibe! And the food is awesome! They get what you want and go far and beyond to make you happy! Please support places like this. They deserve it way more than any big company I will definitely be a lifetime customer as long as they stay open!

Great take home seafood and today we discovered great eat-in as well. Fried flounder and shrimp for me, scallops and tuna for my girlfriend. Fries hushpuppies fried pickles and coleslaw....all was TERRIFIC

Forget the rest. Russ is friendly and personable. The food is excellent. Steamed shrimp with Russ's own crab boil is wonderful.

Outstanding seafood! We came in on Tuesday for 3 lobsters and saw the tuna, so we came back for sandwiches today! He had the tuna steak with hand made onion rings and I had the fried flounder with potato shoe strings-- Delightful!! No wonder Uncle Russ keeps winning awards!!!

The seafood there was good and the service was not so good. It took a long time for our order to be ready and the young lady there was rude. My wife and I were nice and polite and we didn't complain much. Every time my wife tried to ask her something, she would roll her eyes at her. Didn't even apologize for the wait. Not much of a good experience for us!

A must stop if you are in the area. They have a great selection of fresh seafood, and will cook it up for you right there. And offer some friendly conversation while you wait. We enjoyed a small steam pot and pan seared shrimp and scallops. It was all amazing.

I loved the welcoming spirits they embodied. Prices were great and professionally explained every question asked and with no attitude or rudeness. Overall great amount for the money i definitely recommend anyone who is looking for great food and professional attitudes. Makes you want to return. Conversations were also on point and solid.

We planned to have a good ol' southern shrimp and crab boil for 6 people. The staff were very helpful with suggestions on how much and which fixins to make. They even volunteered to boil it for us and have it ready for pickup at our chosen time. We wanted it done for pickup at 5 pm, and were out the front door with our food at 4:59. We got home and noticed we forgot some of our order at the store. Called Russ up and he volunteered to deliver the rest of the order personally. He showed up 7 minutes later.Outstanding customer service, excellent prices, delicious food, and very friendly staff. Uncle Russ is my go to guy for seafood in the Williamsburg area from now on!

Employees are friendly and knowledgeable. Russ is the home town favorite. They'll be more expensive than your local grocery store, but their service is top notch. Seafood is always fresh.

Excellent seafood macaroni and cheese surprisingly good. My first time there but definitely not my last.

The employees/cooks were amazing. Unfortunately i did see a roach in the bathroom and that freaked me out. I truly liked the food and the younger employees, however I heard some of the OLDER MEN making some rude, racial stereotyping remarks which made me mad. That kind of behavior is disgusting and is the opposite of funny!! Spend your money at a business that value morals and basic decency.

Their customer service is off of the charts. I’ve been here three times now and they are always so friendly and helpful. The seafood selection is always on point, but as everyone who’s a customer knows, come early before any of the supplies run out.

We've been going to Russ's for years! They have historically had the best seafood in the area, plus the staff has always been extremely friendly and helpful. We usually buy a couple bushels of crabs each summer. However, the last time we went we bought scallops and tuna. The tuna was okay but the scallops smelled off...The flavor of ammonia filled my mouth after the first bite. I thought it might have been the way I cooked the first batch so I changed my method and once again they were inedible. Pretty devastating.

Nice to see that people still work hard while giving an over-the-top guest experience! They have everything from fresh lobsters in the tank to dry-aged steak! Excellent!
